BUDVA • Nov 3: Arrival & Coastal Sunset — Arrival along the Budva Riviera during an amazing sunset, settling into seaside lodging, and watching the sunset over the Adriatic Sea. • Nov 4: Budva Old Town & Promenade — Self-guided walking tour through Stari Grad (Old Town Budva), exploring the stone defense walls, narrow alleys, and historic chapels, followed by a local seafood meal. • Nov 5: Coastal Walks & Waterfront Dining — Morning walk along the harbor admiring yachts and coastal cliffs, relaxed beach walk, and dinner at Restaurant Green. • Nov 6: Seaside Sunrise & Transit — Sunrise over the Adriatic coastline and an early morning stroll before heading around the bay to Kotor. KOTOR • Nov 6: Arrival & Sea Gate — Arrival in Kotor, entering Stari Grad through the historic Venetian Sea Gate, checking into lodging, and exploring the stone labyrinth of alleys. By this time I could barely walk. Just going out to get food was a struggle. • Nov 7: Bay of Kotor & Town Squares — Walking tour of Kotor’s UNESCO-listed plazas, visiting St. Tryphon's area, watching cruise ships anchored in the bay, and coffee on the plaza. • Nov 8: Harbor Views & Coastal Stroll — Relaxed walk along the Bay of Kotor waterfront, watching dogs on the pebble beach, and admiring the dramatic mountain backdrop reflecting on the water at sunset. • Nov 9: Historic Fortifications & Dinner — Exploring the lower fortress walls and medieval bastions, followed by an evening dinner and drinks at an authentic Old Town tavern. • Nov 10: Bay Farewell & Transit — Morning walk through Kotor Harbor for final views of the fjord-like bay, before departing across the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina. SARAJEVO • Nov 10: Scenic Mountain Transit & Arrival — Scenic journey through the rugged Bosnian mountains and river valleys, arriving in Sarajevo and settling into lodging. • Nov 11: Airport Transit & Departure — Morning transit to Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ) with views of surrounding valley peaks for departure. Flight to London. • Nov 12: Airport Transit & Departure — Gatwick to Las Vegas, Las Vegas to Reno. Drove to Tahoe in my roommates truck (he was in Costa Rica). Home again. I was SUPPOSED to continue on to Mostar, Lubjlana, Zagreb, Split, Venice, Bologna and Florence for another month, but I could not continue with how bad my hips were. They would both be replaced the next Spring, one in March, one in May. And I’m back!!
